The objective would have been to honor the concept of walking (as little as possible) and flying (a max!!!) for this second day of competition and to quickly gain height, which Fred tried, but the sky decided otherwise… The weather is the same for everyone, it makes the weather rage, but it’s egalitarian.
“Sixty terminals” (including 5km of flight), 1500m of d+ (2800m of d+ yesterday).
11 a.m.: We are waiting to find out if a flight window will finally open behind this thick mist of clouds, a little further east. The forecasts are not phew…
1 p.m. : A dart quickly done well, seized opportunistically, just a little above the road. At least one, phew! The rest of the day was walking, refueling (chorizo go!!!), massage and mental work. Tough… the next beacon, objective of this second day, well on the way with a tired ankle, the repetition of movements on the flat for a Pyrenean!, the lack of drugs/theft! 😉 What a difference in levels never encountered before during the other competitions in which Fred participated (Bornes to fly, Tarent’Air Tour, etc.).
8:20 p.m. Stop. Shower. Hot meal. Massage. Dodo. Save for the rest, hoping that the legs will start again tomorrow morning. We keep our fingers crossed…
