Why did you choose the X-Pyr?
I love adventures, and I think X-Pyr is going to be a great adventure.
What is your greatest sporting success?
Combining climbing with flying.
When and why did you start paragliding?
I started flying 6 years ago. As a mountaineer the worst thing is to rappel down and walk down, why not fly down if you can?

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
Take off from Campanil Basso.
Rescue at my first hike and fly competition.
Have you flown in the Pyrenees before? Do you have a favourite area?
I have never flown in the Pyrenees, so I’m very curious.
Is there anything you like to see (or not) in the route?
The best line to fly, from coast to coast, a straight line.
Apart from flying far and walking little, what will your strategy be during the race?
Live this experience more like an adventure than a race. Have fun and stay positive!
What does your typical training week consist of?
I work as a guide, many meters of altitude difference, long XCs. Take part in as many races as possible, both hike and fly and cross-country.
What has been the hardest part of your race preparation so far?
Finding a van.
What excites you most about participating in the X-Pyr?
Fly in a new place and test myself.
What worries you the most about the event?
Participating in race mode instead of adventure mode. Accept to take ricks because others accept them.
How do you know your assistant?
Climbing partner and now life partner.
What are your assistant’s main strengths?
Support each other and stay positive.
What advice would you ask of the race veterans?
Some advice on the route.
