Why did you choose the X-Pyr?
The wilderness of the Pyrenees is for sure the next level.
What is your greatest sporting success?
Participating in the last Dolomiti Superfly edition, my first. Flying into sunset after covering 400 km free distance in Brasil.
When and why did you start paragliding?
At age 15, the minimum age in Italy.
What is your mountaineering experience?
My dad was a mountain guide and my flying buddy Davide Sassudelli too, I like to join him on climb & fly tours.
What are your best and worst sporting memories?
Probably loosing the Italian American Football final back in 2016. The best feelings are always at night after a day spent in the sky or in the mountains.
Have you flown in the Pyrenees before? Do you have a favourite area?
I was in Andorra once.
Is there anything you like to see (or not) in the route?
I would like to see more the Spain part than the French.
Apart from flying far and walking little, what will your strategy be during the race?
Have lots of fun with the team.
What does your typical training week consist of?
It depends on the weather.
What has been the hardest part of your race preparation so far?
Increasing the ascent amount.
What excites you most about participating in the X-Pyr?
Exploring new areas.
What worries you the most about the event?
Hot temperatures.
How do you know your assistant?
From flying.
What are your assistant’s main strengths?
Hiking
What advice would you ask of the race veterans?
The difference in equipment carried compared to the X-Alps.
