Why did you choose the X-Pyr again?
Because I love the Pyrenees and my team! In 2022 we had a lot of fun even if it was difficult, so we’re coming back.
How was your race the last time?
Very well for a rookie! The team was efficient and we managed to move forward despite the difficult weather.
What did you learn during the last edition?
That a good team is important, the X-Pyr is not a solo race but a team race. And each mistake can waste a lot of time. The X-Pyr isn’t just a race, it’s a team event.
What does your typical training week consist of?
Has your training regime changed since the last X-Pyr?
My training week is simple, run in mountains, fly, run and fly every day! The change this year is mental coaching for the team by Eklow coaching.
What changes have you made to your equipment for this edition?
For the moment the change is top secret because is not certain.
Apart from flying far and walking little, what will your strategy be during the race?
I don’t know… Maybe take all the weather options to be sure to fly as much as possible.
What excites you most about participating in the X-Pyr again?
To spend another great adventure with my team, Matthieu, Nicolas and Manu.
What worries you the most about the event?
Weather! In the Pyrenees the weather can be complicated, we saw it in 2022. But we are also preparing for that.
Is there anything you like to see (or not) in the route?
I would love to see my house when passing by! Actually no because! I will stop there. I think the 2022 route was interesting.
Do you have a favourite part of the Pyrenees?
Yes, that’s where I live… But there are great places in Spain for paragliding.
How do you know your assistant?
My assistants are friends, we do paragliding and hike and fly together. We also did X-Pyr 2022 together.
What are your assistant’s main strengths?
I can have complete confidence in them and they know the Pyrenees very well.
What advice would you give a rookie in this event?
I think it’s important to have fun and be careful because with fatigue you can quickly forget about safety.
