2012, the year it all began. There was the X-Alps, and we were (and are) in love with it, but we wanted a similar event in the Pyrenees. And that was the start of our X-Pyr.
New event, new organisation, the adventure was not only for the participating teams. Also for that small organising team (compared to the current one) that was starting a new stage.
The race started with a distance that already seemed long to us. The crossing of the Pyrenees was relatively straight, without adding any more difficulties than the route itself.
It was completed in a (then unthinkable) 7 days. And on top of that, a sprint between Iñigo Gabiria and Iván Colás.
A year we will always remember!
