The year of the “X”.
A decade after the first edition, we celebrate our tenth anniversary.
We designed the longest and most challenging route ever, with a nod to our main sponsor (Munich, the brand with the logo “X”) and our 10 year history.
The weather made this edition especially hard. For the first few days, to the despair of the teams, all they could do was watch and walk as the water poured down on them.
In 2022, the race grew. The organisation kept the number of participating teams at 45, although in the end 43 teams started the race. Of these, 11 retired from the race.
605 km of a challenging route, drawing a big X in the core of the Pyrenees, with 8 waypoints placed along the route.
In an incredible race during the last kilometers, 3 pilots were together. Finally, it was Christian Maurer who made it first, in an amazing battle with Maxime Pinot (second).
Chrigel needed 6 days to finish the race, and was followed by Maxime, Pierre Remy and Simon Oberrauner. They were the only 4 teams that reached the goal in El Port de la Selva.
